John Dionisio - for whom I named the 'Le Dionisio'

John is a good friend of mine. We met in Paris at La Rhumerie one night in 07. I forget if that is the correct spelling for Rhumerie. He was the kind of American in Paris who was reminiscent of the Jazz Age Americans... Speaking French then using that polished American English in a seamless effortless manner. I can recall one night he called me up, I was living on Boulevarde Barbes, there was a party for some artist living downstairs... I was a belle without a ball. He inspired me to cycle down Boulevarde Magenta to go see Raoul working at the Long Hop. I put on my best navy jacket and listened to my mp3 stick and rode like the wind. I think we finished outside the Pink Paradise at about 4am.

He stands here with his lovely lady Leonie, 3 years on... the world has changed. Luckily we had one last hurrah at the Ivy last December in Sydney with his good friend Scotty Don't.
