Kurri Burri Mother's Day Polo - Dame Edna Makes A Cameo

The Kurri Burri Mother's Day Polo held at Richmond was a real success. Around 850 people turned up to the event and not a detail was missed. The hampers were filled with great food, there was plenty of champagne being spilled onto the lawns and it was a very relaxed day with great music. Thumbs up to the organisers...

Unfortunately, Dame Edna had not been out in some time and she's stacked on the weight in her mid-region although her legs have held up.....  probably she should have held back from getting on the tractor. But she's a wily old spirit and won't be held back. Like a mad brumby she headed out onto the field to be admired and adored by her subjects - children chasing her down the main stretch as she waved to the crowd from her regal white satin gloves.

As a side note, the polo boots shown above are made in Perth. Apparently there is one boot maker there that surpasses all others in Australia and all the boys either get them from this chap or else they buy them in Argentina.
