Terry Gou is responsible for bringing you ipads, iphones etc. His factories employ 800,0000 workers who churn out hundreds of millions of electronic devices as contractual electronics makers for Sony, HP, Nokia, Dell and Apple. It is remarkable to think that he founded Hon Hai Precision in 1974 with just 10 workers. His Wiki entry reads like a great Chinese film - lots of highs and lows and a bit of scandal thrown in. I would love to meet this man as I am sure he has some great stories about the rise of electronics manufacturing.
