I was having a lot of trouble sewing straight. I didn't come from a sewing background and I have had to learn everything I know all on my own. The other day whilst stopping in to see my tailors -who have created nearly all my custom made silk and wool jackets and have been so supportive no matter how ridiculous my ambitions - I was given a short lesson on how to sew a straight running stitch using a needle and a thread alone.
